The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
